AREAS AFFECTED: Charles City; New Kent; Gloucester; Middlesex; Mathews; James City; Eastern King William; Eastern King and Queen
DESCRIPTION: At 438 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Barhamsville, or near Toano, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near... West Point and Barhamsville around 445 PM EDT. Shacklefords around 455 PM EDT. Glenns around 505 PM EDT. Saluda around 510 PM EDT. Urbanna around 515 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Eltham, Chickahominy Shore, Croaker, Harmony Village, Grafton, Harcum, Cash, Lanexa, Mattaponi, and Warner.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
