AREAS AFFECTED: Schleicher; Sutton
DESCRIPTION: At 342 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking cluster of strong thunderstorms in southwestern Schleicher County, about 9 miles southwest of Eldorado, and moving south at 10 to 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and dangerous lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Us-277 Near The Sutton-Schleicher County Line and The Intersection Of I-10 And Ranch Road 1989. This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 382 and 394.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
